SAFETY & MEDICAL GUIDELINES

Rigorous athlete protection protocols, mandatory equipment certifications, and tournament medical standards.

Duty of Care

Athlete Safety Above All Else

While Combat Ju-Jutsu tests martial skill and physical resilience, competitor safety is paramount. The federation enforces preventative medical checkups, certified protective equipment, and strict penalties for reckless technique.

Mandatory Ringside Physician

No sanctioned national or provincial bout can commence without a qualified medical doctor and emergency trauma care station physically present at the mat perimeter.

Certified Protective Equipment

Athletes must wear inspected open-finger gloves, compliant mouthguards, approved groin protectors, and shin/instep pads. Headgear with facial protection is mandatory for junior divisions.

Head Injury & Concussion Protocol

Immediate cessation of match upon any suspected concussion. Athletes subjected to head trauma undergo mandatory medical clearance before returning to training or competition.

Referee Stoppage Authority

Referees hold absolute authority to halt a match whenever an athlete cannot defend themselves, appears unconscious, or is caught in a dangerous submission position.
